The empty nest can also represent an opportunity for some well-earned freedom. It's a chance to do all the things you couldn't do when you felt you had to prioritise your children's needs over your own. Now that your children are gone, you are relishing filling your time with interests and activities.

I am in my mid-50s and have been happily married for 30 years. I enjoy sex but I'm far more interested in other things, which I know frustrates my husband (although he has never complained).

I don't know if I am unusual in being so uninterested in sex, or if I can do anything about it, but I feel guilty and worry it will drive a wedge between us. Any advice?
