Mark O'Leary of FDC Financial Services Ltd outlines significant innovations that will enhance services for clients

We've recently launched our revamped website at FDC Financial Services Ltd, alongside significant service enhancements designed to make expert financial advice more accessible while simultaneously maintaining our personal approach.

We’ve made big changes

We have broadened our commitment to modernise how we support clients. It marks the culmination of two years of focused work on digital transformation that I’ve had the opportunity to lead. At the heart of the project was one key question: ‘What do people actually want from a modern financial services firm?’

With that in mind, the answer led us to concentrate on three major improvements:

  • A dedicated FDC Financial Services Ltd website
  • A new centralised client care team
  • A digital enhancement (not replacement) and simpler experience for all clients

Our new website: A website built for clients

For the first time, FDC Financial Services Ltd has its own dedicated website — https://financial.fdc.ie/ —  which is separate from the main FDC Group website —  https://www.fdc.ie/

It’s designed entirely around our financial services clients — clear, user-friendly and mobile-accessible. This purpose-built site clearly reflects our services, standards, and the daily planning conversations we have with clients.

Whether you’re looking for protection planning, investment guidance, retirement options or general advice, our website helps you find answers for what matters to you. You can also book a consultation directly with one of our qualified Financial Planning Consultants, a small change that we believe will make a big difference. It reflects not just what we do, but how we do it; financial planning tailored to your financial goals and needs.

Centralised client care: Your single point of contact

We’ve also launched the FS Care Team, a new centralised service point for general enquiries and support. Our centralised approach aims to improve communication flow through consistent, regular engagement. The FS Care Team can help with:

  • New client onboarding
  • General enquiries
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Client communications
  • Policy updates and servicing

The aim is to improve responsiveness and consistency. With a trained, dedicated support team in place, we reduce handovers and delays and ensure that your queries are handled by someone who understands the advice process. This allows our consultants to focus on meaningful financial planning conversations with clients.

Importantly, we formed the team to complement our local office network, not to replace it. Clients who prefer our traditional localised service, can still meet in person with consultants at any of our 50 offices nationwide.

Digital transformation

For many clients, convenience is key. Our new systems make it easier to connect by video and phone or in person depending on your needs and preferences. Technology shouldn't replace personal advice; it should make quality advice easier to access and manage.

Remote video consultations now sit comfortably alongside traditional in-person meetings, offering flexibility for those with busy schedules or long commutes. (How many of us knew what ‘Zoom’ really was before the pandemic). Tools like DocuSign also help to reduce turnaround times on forms and paperwork — avoiding unnecessary postal delays.

Put simply, it’s about offering choice. Some people prefer the full digital journey, while others want the reassurance of a personal meeting. We’re structured to support both. You’ll still get the same expert advice, just with more flexibility and fewer barriers. Whether you prefer face-to-face meetings at your local FDC office or a completely digital experience, the decision is yours based on what works best for your circumstances.

What this means for you

Whether you’ve been with us for years or are only just exploring financial advice, these changes aim to make the experience simpler and more accessible. If you’re already a client, you may notice some small changes over the coming weeks: quicker updates, more consistent communication, and new ways to interact. If you’re not a client yet, it’s now easier than ever to get started with a conversation.

Looking forward

These changes reflect our commitment to evolving alongside our clients' needs and expectations.

Our willingness to support clients through change remains as strong as ever—now delivered through what we call a 'Hybrid Service Approach': human relationships enhanced by technology, not replacing it.

As a home-grown Irish business servicing our clients for over 50 years, we are connected to the concerns, demands and future plans of our clients. We're positioned to serve you effectively today whilst adapting for tomorrow's challenges.

We’ll continue to adapt, but our core belief stays the same: quality financial advice must always be built around a client-centred approach ensuring your priorities drive every decision. These changes help us keep that promise.
