Wholesale electricity prices have fallen more than 75% from their peak three years ago, according to new data from the Central Statistics Office. 

The CSO wholesale price index showed wholesale electricity prices fell 12.2% in June 2025, and were 11.6% lower than in 2024. The prices have fallen by 75.4% when compared with the peak that occurred in August 2022.
