On Friday, June 27 last, a 327-acre holding in Co Westmeath — featured here on June 3 last — was sold at auction at the Greville Arms Hotel in Mullingar for €7,96m, a landmark sale handled jointly by Trim-based auctioneer REA Thomas Potterton and Mullingar-based James L Murtagh.

The farm at Annascannon, near Killucan village was offered in three separate lots and as the entire holding.
