It's been a hero for a long time. Anyone who takes care of themselves will swear by it, particularly when it comes to the common cold.
Not that the people who first elevated Vitamin C to life-saver status were thinking about the common cold. They were thinking about scurvy, a deadly deficiency ailment that took the lives of 2m sailors in a 200-year period.
