As anti-immigrant protests grow louder, we must ask: do we really want to return to a darker past?

Last Sunday, there was another protest march through Dublin city centre. This was the third such gathering in the last few months, including one in Cork City. They were protesting about immigrants in general, but particularly asylum seekers.
