Letters to the Editor: Airports need to be used to their full potential

A reader asks why regional airports, like Cork, are not at capacity, unlike Dublin.

Regarding the article in last week’s business section — ‘Shannon seeks rebalance in market share’ ( Irish Examiner, June 7): I live directly beside Dublin Airport and can testify to the fact that the airport is at full capacity with both congestion on the roads leading to the airport and restrictive and exorbitant car parking facilities.

It begs the question why are Shannon, Cork, and Knock airports not being utilised to their full potential?
