In 2011, Rachael Blackmore achieved what she had spent a while trying to do and rode her first winner for John Hanlon aboard Stowaway Pearl at Thurles. She had come into the racing world from a background of Pony Club and pony racing, but in the world of thoroughbred horse racing, there is only one currency: winners.
